The Revolution Cycling series kicks off this weekend (and we created the programme)

As a group of bike-lovers we were delighted when the team at the Revolution Cycling Series asked us to help them with the programme for their new season, kicking off tomorrow at Lee Valley VeloPark in the 2012 Olympic velodrome. Now we’re even happier to give you a sneak peek of the programme itself.

Our lead story looks at the weekend’s key contest – world champion Marianne Vos vs GB’s Olympic superstar Laura Trott. Will the British rider’s track nous give her the edge or will Vos, the world’s best road bike rider, come out victorious?

We also speak to Alex Doswett, riding for the Telegraph All-Stars team in Round 1. We asked whether he’s considering taking on the reinvigorated hour record any time soon, his feelings about riding the track, plus his work to get kids with haemophilia out of ‘cotton wool’ and onto a road bike.

Also in the programme: a guide to the new rules of the omnium; full race programme and rider list; and a chance to win an amazing pair of custom Lake cycling shoes worth £400.

Programmes are available at all three event sessions (Friday night, Saturday afternoon, Saturday evening) and cost £4.

  1. Really enjoyed Friday evening session at Revolution but sound system was awful so it was very difficult to understand the commentary. Competitors numbers in the programme seemed to be incomplete but perhaps if commentary was understandable we would have known more.

    1. Hi Clive

Glad you enjoyed it – we’ll pass your comments on to the organisers/venue, I’m sure they’d be keen to address the issue. Speak Media is involved in design/production of the event programme so this is something we’re keen to improve, any further feedback specifically on the information/content/design of the publication would be most welcome – you can if you wish email us directly here: revolution@speakmedia.co.uk

      thanks

      George
