Team Speak raises £800 for NSPCC in charity cycle ride

Two of our editorial team, George and Tom, spent this weekend up in Yorkshire taking part in a sponsored two-day cycle challenge. Between them they raised £800 for the children’s charity NSPCC, as well as tackling 182 miles of the glorious North Yorks countryside.

Now they’re both back in the studio, a little stiff it must be said, we thought we’d share a few pics of their adventures up North.

George’s pre-ride preparations left nothing to chance.

And here’s his trusty steed, ready to get on the train to York.

Day one took in some tough terrain and some tougher weather conditions. Here’s the peloton taking shelter from a thunderstorm in a farmer’s barn – you don’t get that in the Tour de France!

The parcours for day two saw some more tough climbs.

The bumpy route soon took it’s toll on Tom’s bike, The Wasp.

But it was all smiles at the finish line, despite taking a spill in the final few metres. (Goodbye to Tom’s Trasé bib-shorts!)

If you’ve been inspired by what the boys managed, it’s not too late to donate either!
