BrewDog takes a pop at Putin

Content brand BrewDog made the news again today with their provocatively-branded new beer, ‘Hello My Name Is… Vladimir’. Poking fun at Russian president Putin and the medieval stance on homosexuality currently being taken by his government, this launch is a classic PR and social responsibility stunt done the BrewDog way.

The label of the 8.2% beer shows a picture of President Putin wearing lipstick and makeup in a pastiche of Andy Warhol’s portrait of Marilyn Monroe. 50% of the proceeds from ‘Hello My Name Is… Vladimir’ will be donated to charity.
